Formula
Business Days = Count of weekdays (Mon-Fri) between Start Date and End Date
- The calculator counts every day from the start date to the end date inclusive.
- Saturdays and Sundays are excluded, leaving only Monday-to-Friday business days.
- Calendar days is the raw total, including weekends.
- Public holidays are not subtracted — adjust manually if your region observes them.
- The end date must be on or after the start date.

Frequently asked questions
What counts as a business day?
Any weekday from Monday to Friday. Saturdays and Sundays are not counted.
Does this include public holidays?

Are the start and end dates both counted?
Yes. The range is inclusive, so both the start and end dates are part of the count if they're weekdays.
Why do I get business days and calendar days?
Calendar days is the full span including weekends; business days strips out Saturdays and Sundays.
What if my end date is before my start date?
The calculator returns zero. Make sure the end date is on or after the start date.
