Find your body shape — hourglass, pear, inverted triangle, apple, or rectangle — from your bust, waist, and hip measurements. Enter the three measurements to see your shape and how defined your waist is.

Formula

Body shape is determined by comparing bust, waist, and hip measurements: • Hourglass: bust ≈ hips AND waist ≥ 25 cm smaller than both • Pear: hips > bust by >5 cm AND waist well below hips • Inverted Triangle: bust > hips by >5 cm AND defined waist • Apple: waist close to bust or hips • Rectangle: all three measurements roughly similar
  • Your shape is classified by comparing bust, waist, and hip measurements.
  • Hourglass: bust and hips are close in size, with a waist at least 25 cm smaller than both.
  • Pear (triangle): hips are clearly wider than the bust with a well-defined waist.
  • Inverted triangle: the bust is noticeably wider than the hips. Apple: the waist is close in size to bust or hips. Rectangle: all three are similar.
  • This is a styling and fit guide, not a health measure — it describes proportions, not body fat.

Bust 90, waist 70, hips 95 cm

Inputs
  • Bust / Chest: 90 cm
  • Waist: 70 cm
  • Hips: 95 cm

Hips slightly exceed the bust with a defined waist, giving a balanced pear-leaning shape with clear waist narrowing.

Frequently asked questions

How is body shape determined?
It compares your bust, waist, and hip measurements and matches the proportions to common shapes like hourglass, pear, or rectangle.
What are the main body shapes?
The five common types are hourglass, pear (triangle), inverted triangle, apple (oval), and rectangle (straight).
How should I measure?
Use a level tape around the fullest part of the bust, the narrowest part of the waist, and the widest part of the hips.
Is body shape a health measure?
No. It describes proportions for clothing and styling. For health, look at waist-to-hip ratio or body fat instead.
Can my body shape change?
Somewhat. Weight changes and training can shift proportions, but your underlying bone structure stays the same.
