AHI = Total Apnea and Hypopnea Events ÷ Total Sleep Hours
  • AHI is the average number of apneas (breathing pauses) and hypopneas (shallow breaths) per hour of sleep.
  • Formula: AHI = total events ÷ total sleep time in hours.
