Add Minutes Calculator
Result
Total Minutes 75 min
Hours and Minutes 1h 15m
The Add Minutes Calculator totals two amounts of minutes and shows the combined result both as a plain minute count and in hours and minutes. It is handy for adding up cooking times, commute legs, or a series of short tasks.
Formula
Total Minutes = First Duration + Second Duration
- Add the two minute amounts together: Total = A + B.
- The total is also converted to hours and minutes by dividing by 60 (the quotient is hours, the remainder is minutes).
- For example, 90 minutes becomes 1h 30m and 130 minutes becomes 2h 10m.
- To add minutes onto a clock time instead, use the Add or Subtract Time calculator.
Example Calculation
Inputs
- First duration (minutes): 45
- Second duration (minutes): 30
Add 45 minutes and 30 minutes: 45 + 30 = 75 minutes, which is 1h 15m.
